GeoTIFF Export Bounds
Volker
Global Mapper User
Would be great to have more options for bounds when exporting GeoTIFFs, such as
(i) overlay selected in control center
(ii) within polygon selected in control center.
The "Draw a Box" feature is nice, but doesn't work so well when dealing with large raster files and small text, since the selected area can not be re-adjusted after zooming in.
Thank you!

We plan to add an option to export to the bounds of one or more loaded layers. You can already export cropped to an area, just select the area with the Digitizer or Feature Info Tool, then when exporting choose the option to crop to a selected area on the Export Bounds tab.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike

Thank you, Mike.
One of the reasons for suggesting the first export option (overlay selected in control center) is to avoid switching off all other overlays just to export a GeoTIFF. This is often needed when supplying a rectified image to users of other software. Or is there another way to do this? -
You can do it using a script, but not in the user interface currently without doing like you already are.
Thanks,
Mike
