Overlay Control Center Options – Point Styles
Perry
Global Mapper User
I am using GM 11.02
The Overlay Control Center Options – Point Styles tab has a radio button “Use Same Style for All Features” and a “Select Style…” button next to it. This opens the Select Point Symbol dialog with a drop down list of symbols. Next to the drop down list is a “Font…” button which opens a Font dialog. Changes in the Font dialog do not change the font of the points on the map.
In the Configuration Dialog – Point Styles tab the “Select Label Font…” does change the label font of all points of a give Point Type.
Is there a way to change the Font of all point labels on a given Overlay layer?

It looks like the option to use the same font for all features wasn't working as it should, so I fixed it. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v11.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit version, there is a new build available at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11_64bit.zip .
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks, that worked.
Now I have another question. I applied a “Use Same Style for All Features” to the “User Created Features” layer. Is there a way to undo this later? For example, If I want to go to a “Style based on Classification”.
Also I noticed that when GM is closed and reopened the Vector Options reverts to “Use Default Style Based on Classification or Custom Style” Is this what is supposed to happen?
Thanks,

Perry,
I have updated the workspace load to restore any settings to the User Created Features layer, like any Point Styles tab settings.
Unfortunately for non-file-based features, like those in the User Created Features layers, when they are saved in the workspace they are saved with a custom style based on whatever their style is at save time, so you can't restore the type-based styling for those features if you had assigned custom layer styling.
