MS SQL Database

Hi
I have exported shape files to MS SQL. I have opened the Spatial database and would now want to change attribute data directly in the SQL table and would then like to see the changes on the map, or if I make attribute changes on the map see the changes in the MS SQL table. I do thus not understand where the Attribute (Labels) data on the map is coming from, as if I for instance change the data in the SQL table I can't get this change to reflect on the map.
Regards
Geert

Hi Geert,
Thank you for using Global Mapper.
The link between the MS SQL Server database and Global Mapper is not a "live" connection. Once a table is imported into Global Mapper, the database connection gets closed. If you update the value of a database attribute, you will need to re-import the table into Global Mapper to see the changes on the map, and if you modify an attribute value in Global Mapper, you will need to re-export the table to see the change in the database.
I hope this clarifies the situation.
Cheers,
Bob
