Save Empty Workspace As Template

Routinely defining identical aspects and settings in a Global Mapper project time and time again could instead be done once, saved as a Global Mapper Template file (*.gmt) or a Global Mapper Workspace Template file (*.gmwt).

You could do this now with a little manual editing, at least for settings that are stored in a workspace. Just load a single layer and get your settings how you want, then save out a workspace. Edit that in a text editor and remove the commands you don't want (mainly UNLOAD_ALL IMPORT, SET_VIEW_BOUNDS and probably LOAD_PROJECTION unless you want workspace to set the projection), then you can load that .gmw file at any time to get those settings.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for the reply.

That's actually the idea I started to suggest - minus the detailed bits about the removal of select commands - in Mykle's Workflow thread... then that idea morphed up into the template suggestion ;)
